A road was shut following a crash involving a car and a lorry.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the incident in Pound Lane, Ashford, at about 2.45pm today.

A man was taken to the William Harvey Hospital following the crash.

Officers remained at the scene for several hours, helping with the recovery of one of the vehicles involve.

The ambulance service was also contacted for comment.
