Robbers ambush car driver

Masked robbers smashed the car window of a terrified driver, dragging him out and beating him up.

The 18-year-old victim was set upon when he and two friends had got into his car in Bucksford Lane, Ashford.

Three men, masked with balaclavas and scarves, approached the car from behind,

One of them smashed the driver's window with a rounders bat and the victim was dragged out.

He was punched and kicked in the face and ordered to hand over his wallet.

The three thugs then ran off over a footbridge.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the brutal attack, which happened at 7.45pm on Sunday, March 21.

Officers are have issued a description of one suspect, who is said to be 5ft 10in tall, wearing a black hooded top and black balaclava and aged around 17 to 20.
