Fire service called to Hampden Road in Ashford after rubbish fire threatened roof

Firefighters were called to an Ashford home after rubbish set alight threatened to engulf the building's roof.

Kent Fire and Rescue service received the call at around 8.20pm last night.

Two fire engines and a height vehicle were used to bring the fire under control.
