Customers have expressed their sadness after it was announced a specialist childrenswear boutique will close.
Little Angel Delights in Ashford opened in 2014 and sells baby and children’s clothing, shoes and accessories.
Co-owners Sophie Howes and Katrina Hilden have made the decision to shut the shop so they can focus on their other business, Zinzino.
“It is a sad decision we had to make because it is our little baby really,” Sophie Howes said.
“We built it up and we are really busy. We have loyal customers, a huge following, and a busy website so it is a real shame.
“We have seven kids between us, so we cannot do it all.”
Miss Howes says the pair wanted to open the shop because they both used to dress their children in traditional Spanish clothing but found there were not many places to buy from.
“We decided to start the business online and then we took the plunge and opened a shop. It just grew and grew from there,” she said.
“We have had a lot of upset customers but lots have been very interested in our new business.”
Many punters have commented on the team’s Facebook post announcing the closing down sale.
“Aw that's a shame sorry to see this,” one comment read.
“I don't have children but I saw from the sidelines the success you had in what I thought was a flourishing little business, especially when your shop grew and moved location. Good luck for the future.”
Another wrote: “No way, gutted ladies.”
Once Little Angel Delights closes, the pair will be focusing completely on Zinzino which is a test-based nutrition business which aims to rebalance people’s bodies and bring down any inflammatories.
There is currently a closing down sale at Little Angel Delights but no date has been set for when it will permanently shut.
