A DOG owner is desperately searching for her last missing pet after three others were electrocuted on a railway line.
The four young German Shepherds escaped from a pen in woods in Great Chart, near Ashford, during a storm.
Owner Judy Yordanov and Bulgarian husband Rosen were camping in the woodland owned by her family and had secured her beloved animals for the night. But by last Friday morning the young dogs, some just eight months old, had escaped.
After frantic searching the couple spotted railway staff on the line and discovered Basil, Prince and Bobby Socks, all brothers and sisters, had been electrocuted. But fourth sibling Weasel was still missing.
Mr and Mrs Yordanov have trekked through the woods and up and down the train tracks, but have been unable to find Weasel, dead or alive.
Mrs Yordanov, of Canterbury Road, Chilham, fears he may have burnt his feet and is now lost, hungry and injured somewhere in the Ashford countryside. He might even have been frightened further by fireworks being set off.
"No one has seen him since," she said. "He could be anywhere. We don't know if he was on the line at all. He might not have been with the others, he could gone off anywhere.
"I've been told they sometimes burn their feet on the track and run somewhere, but if his feet are sore he won't run far. He could be in an outbuilding or been picked up already."
She continued: "It's been awful. We buried the others on Saturday and feel so helpless. We've been out shouting for him, have got some posters done and been knocking on doors.
"We don't know how far he's travelled or if someone's taken him home. We'd desperately like to have him back."
Weasel, a long-haired, black German Shepherd, is said to be quite big for his age and was wearing a red collar. He is also microchipped and has been reported missing with Ashford's dog warden.
Someone from Sturry, Canterbury, contacted Mrs Yordanov after spotting a similar looking dog there, but when she continued searching there she could not find him.
She has put colourful posters up throughout the woods in Great Chart and now in Sturry.
"He (Weasel) will be nervous, but not nasty," Mrs Yordanov said. "I don't know quite what he has been through, but he may be looking for food."
