There was traffic chaos during rush hour after a car overturned the Romney Marsh Road.

Police blocked off the road after a silver Peugeot collided with the barrier and turned onto its roof just past the Ashford Designer Outlet at 4.35pm today.

The fire service received a report of a person trapped inside one of the vehicles but the male driver had been freed when they arrived on the scene.

An ambulance was also called but the extent of the driver's injuries are not yet known.
