Train services into London were disrupted today after a person was hit on the tracks at Bromley South.
The incident involved the 10.10am Ashford to Victoria service and led to a series of postponed journeys for Kent passengers.
It is understood a woman was struck by the train but this is yet to be confirmed.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to the railway line at Bromley South after a report a person had been struck by a train.
"Officers from the BTP and Metropolitan Police attended at 11.19am. It is currently being treated at non-suspicious.
"The London Ambulance Service also attended and the person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"Officers are currently making enquiries to identify the person and notify the next-of-kin. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
Southeastern said the station reopened at 3pm, along with all lines.
No trains were stuck but passengers experienced delays of up to an hour.
