Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.

It happened in an alleyway off Cypress Avenue, in the Godinton Park area of Ashford, on Wednesday, February 29 at around 6.30pm.

The offender is described as a white man, aged between 20 and 40 years old, around 5ft 9" to 6ft and of medium build.

He was wearing black straight leg trousers or jeans, a black hooded top and a dark woolly hat and spoke with a local accent.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious or anyone who has any information regarding the assault.
