Shopkeeper threatened in Folkestone knife robbery

A shopkeeper was threatened with a knife in an attempted robbery in Folkestone.

It happened at Warren Road Post Office at 8.20am on Sunday.

A man walked in, told the shopkeeper to hand over money and threatened him with a knife.

The shopkeeper ran into his back room and when he returned a minute later, the man had gone.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail in connection with the incident.

Police are also trying to trace a white man of medium build, aged around 25 to 30, 5ft 7in who was wearing a black woollen hat, black scarf covering his mouth and nose, a knee-length black coat and black woollen gloves.
