A social club could be knocked down and replaced, making room for 31 flats.
Preliminary consultations are under way regarding the plan, which is centred around the Ashford International Sports and Social Club in Beaver Road.
The current club would be demolished and rebuilt nearer to B&Q, meanwhile 31 one- and two-bedroom apartments would be built in its place.
Arranged in two blocks, they would range in height from three to five storeys.
Each apartment would have the use of a parking space, according to the current information available.
Though a formal planning application has not yet been submitted by the Costplan Group, a website has been created for opinions on the concept.
The site states: “We would like to give club members and the community the opportunity to share their views on the scheme prior to the submission of a planning application.”
Due to Covid, the website continues, the website was created in lieu of an in-person consultation.
The report concludes: “We will carefully consider all comments received, and use them to inform our final proposals.
“The proposals will be detailed with a full set of application drawings including floor plans and elevations.
“Once the application is submitted, you will have a further opportunity to make your formal comments to Ashford Borough Council.”
