A speeding driver has landed in trouble after whizzing past a police car.

The unknown driver was caught going 100mph on the M20 through Ashford this afternoon.

They have now been reported for summons after passing Kent Police's Roads Policing Unit, who were also travelling along the motorway in a marked Land Rover Discovery.

The team have now tweeted about the incident, suggesting drivers should pay attention while on the roads.

They said: "Driver reported for summons for 100mph M20 Ashford having just overtaken our marked Land Rover Discovery #PayAttention#70ForAReason"
