It was definitely a stay at home in front of the television weekend as further heavy snow saw the big freeze continue.
On Saturday afternoon Ashford town centre was far quieter than normal with many shops displaying signs that they were closing early because of the 'adverse weather conditions'.
All outdoor sport was cancelled and roads were largely deserted as people decided to stay indoors.
The 'green' at Ashford Town bowls club is pictured (above) blanketed with snow.
The only people who ventured out were those who decided to do their weekly shop or those making the most of the conditions to go sledging or have a snowball fight.
And there was certainly no-one likely to take the weight off their feet on this town centre bench (right).
With more show showers expected on Saturday and Sunday it's looking like the whole weekend will, for most, be a case of staying indoors, turning on the television and watching the latest weather forecast!
