Ashford boss Steve Lovell is hoping for a home win on Saturday to lay the foundations for Ryman League survival.
The Nuts & Bolts welcome fellow strugglers Corinthian Casuals to Homelands and, with 12 of their 16 remaining games at home, Lovell wants his players to develop a feel good factor when stepping out on their own turf.
Lovell said: "If we win on Saturday then it lifts the boys for the next home match and it can become a rolling thing.
"If we get a result at home then we can move onto the next game feeling positive."
Ashford have won just four games this season but three of those have come at Homelands.
With so many postponements throughout the bleak winter period, it leaves Lovell’s side with a busy run-in as they try and pull themselves off the bottom of the Division 1 South table.
"At the moment we’ve got four games in hand over two of the other teams down there and we just need to make them count," said Lovell.
"It’s going to be down to us. We’re good enough but sitting on the bench on Tuesday night we spoke about how we have given so many silly, sloppy goals away.
"We then go and concede a sloppy goal and, moments later, let in another."
Danny Lye, Joe Fuller and Paul Jones are all carrying knocks but Lovell is confident that at least two of the three will be back by the weekend.
