A driver crashed into a field as he was pursued by police in what is believed to be a stolen truck.

A 7.5 tonne Isuzu truck was reported stolen from the Canterbury Road and Joyes Road area of Folkestone shortly after midday on Thursday.

Police patrols were alerted and the vehicle was spotted less than an hour later being driven near junction 11 of the M20, towards the area of Folkestone Racecourse.

Police pursued the car along the A20 and within minutes the driver crashed the car.

A man has been arrested and is being questioned at Folkestone Police Station.
