Detectives are hoping to reunite a large collection of jewellery with it's owners after it was found in Kingsnorth.

The jewellery and jewellery boxes are thought to have be stolen before they were discovered in Finn Farm Road on Saturday by a member of the public.

Detective Constable Dennis Webster said: "We suspect the items have been stolen over the Christmas period.

"We would like to hear from anyone who recognises any of the items or who saw someone dumping them in Finn Farm Road.

"I’m sure this jewellery is of great sentimental value to someone. It would be good to reunite it all with its rightful owner."

Police launched Operation Castle, a county-wide campaign against burglary at the end of October.

The campaign aims to advise on how to avoid becoming a victim of burglary, while also attempting to bring offenders to justice.
