A teacher is in hospital following a chemical spill at a school.
An incident support unit and three fire engines are still working to control the incident after being called to Wyvern School on the Great Chart Bypass in Ashford at 11.15am.
The spill has been contained to a storage cupboard, crews say.
Head teacher John Somers told KentOnline: "There was a very small chemical spill. It wasn't involving any students.
"We phoned an ambulance because a member of staff was slightly hurt and because it involved chemicals the fire service came too.
"They are working on it still.
"We've sent out a notice to confirm that there were no students even in the vicinity.
"It was more of a splash injury, with the member of staff chatting happily as they left."
Wyvern School is special school for children with severe, profound and complex needs that caters for pupils aged from three to 19.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We are responding to a small chemical spill at a premises on the Great Chart Bypass in Ashford.
"The spill has been contained to a storage cupboard."
