A teenager who fought for his life after being stabbed is recovering and due home this week.
Lloyd Dawson Smith, 18, was attacked in Ashford almost three weeks ago and was in a critical condition in hospital.
But his father, Paul Smith, 60, said he has started walking again and was expected to come home from the William Harvey hospital this week.
He told the Kentish Express: “We have had two weeks of hell but he is getting better.
“On Monday he started walking about again for the first time and was off his dripfeed.
“He even asked for a cheeseburger, which shows he is coming back to normal.”
Mr Lloyd, from Ashford, was attacked in the early hours of Saturday, October 25 in an alleyway behind a newsagent’s shop in Hythe Road.
Two men appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday charged with the attempted murder of Lloyd Dawson Smith.
They are Michael Shaun Swansborough, 19, of Bridge Street, Wye, and Trevor Moore, 21, form Western Gardens, Willesborough.
The cause was adjourned until January 12 and the pair were remanded in custody.
