A TEENAGE car driver is in hospital with serious head injuries after he was involved in a single-vehicle road accident.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occurred late on Wednesday night on Fougeres Way, Ashford, on the roundabout beneath junction 9 of the M20 motorway.

The 18-year-old driver of a blue Fiat was taken to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital but later transferred to Kings College Hospital in London. Police said he comes from the Ashford area.
