Teenagers arrested after mini motocross bike chase in Ashford

Teenagers have been arrested after a mini motocross bike crashed into a car after failing to stop during a short pursuit.

Officers saw the bike being ridden in a dangerous manner in the Brookfield Road area of Ashford at 10pm last night.

They requested the rider to stop but the bike then collided with another vehicle.

A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, both males and from Ashford were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.

The 17-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.

Both suspects were treated at the scene by ambulance crews for minor injuries.

They currently remain in police custody.
