Six Kent Wetherspoons have been added to the list of the country's finest pubs.
The sites were all praised for the quality of their real ale by members of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
Members chose the Wetherspoons establishments following regular visits to check on the quality of real ales on offer.
Customer service, decor and the overall atmosphere was also taken into consideration.
The Kent Wetherspoons that feature in the Good Beer Guide 2024 are The County Hotel in Ashford, The Eight Bells in Dover, Royal Victoria Pavilion in Ramsgate, Society Rooms in Maidstone, The Railway in Rainham and Margate’s Mechanical Elephant.
A CAMRA spokesman said: “They deserve their places in the Good Beer Guide 2024.
“It is our belief that if a licensee serves an excellent pint of real ale, then everything else in the pub, including customer service, quality of food and atmosphere, are likely to be of an equally high standard.”
Of the six, Maidstone’s Society Rooms and The Railway in Rainham are making their debut on the list.
Wetherspoons reopened The Railway in 2019 after the pub had been sitting empty for seven years.
The firm invested £2.1million into the venue and spent six months renovating before reopening the watering hole’s doors.
Now, less than five years later, the pub has been recognised as one of the best in the country.
