A man has been jailed after assaulting a woman and two police officers.
Jordan Elliott, of Oak Tree Road, in Ashford, knocked the woman down and assaulted her after following her during a night out.
He punched and headbutted his victim, who was known to him, and pulled her hair during the prolonged assault in the Ashford Memorial Gardens on Sunday, March 8.
When police officers arrived to arrest him, he knocked one unconscious by tripping them up, causing the officer to fall backwards and hit their head.
After being arrested and taken to a police station, he then assaulted another officer by snorting blood onto her from his nose.
Elliott, 23, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm and one count of assaulting an emergency worker.
Appearing at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, he was handed a sentence of four years.
"Assaults on police officers are totally unacceptable"
Investigating officer PC Laura Corbin said: "Elliott's violence on the night of the assaults was sustained and had a long-term impact on the woman he attacked and our officers.
"Assaults on police officers are totally unacceptable and we will seek the prosecution of anyone who attacks or injures any of our team.
"I am pleased with this sentence, which will keep this violent man away from the streets of Ashford for a significant period of time."
