KENT Police are keen to speak to a member of the public who helped two men who were being attacked in the street.
The two men were walking along Beaver Road, Ashford, heading towards the town centre, when two white males coming from the opposite direction approached them.
One of them punched the first victim in the face, causing him to fall backwards and sustain facial injuries.
During the attack, the man accompanying the first victim made off and was pursued by the two thugs.
As he was running towards the Tesco store at Park Farm, a black Ford Escort pulled up and the two males got out and started to kick and punch the man, who sustained bruising.
As they did so, a member of the public pulled over in a vehicle and the injured man ran to the car and was taken to safety.
The first injured man had by this time been able to call the police. Both victims attended Ashford's William Harvey Hospital for treatment.
One of the offenders is described as being aged 28-29, thin build, 5ft 11ins tall, short blond hair, light coloured, long sleeved top and beige trousers.
The other is thought to be aged 28-29, thin build, 6ft Iins tall, short black hair and wearing a long sleeved black top and blue trousers.
