Traffic lights on one of Ashford’s major road junctions stuck at red on Wednesday lunchtime.

Queues stretched up the Canterbury Road and Magazine Road as far as the ring road by noon, as drivers inched their way across the uncontrolled junction between the A28 and Simone Weil Avenue.

Engineers were called from Kent County Council and the jam was cleared by 1pm.
