A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after colliding with a van on the A20 near Charing.

It happened on the westbound side of Maidstone Road at the junction with Hart Hill just after 5.30pm last night.

Police and ambulance crews attended and reports suggested the road was closed in both directions.
