A young man stabbed to death in Ashford has been named locally as Jaydon McFarlane.
Police have launched a murder investigation following the attack in Brookfield Road yesterday.
Friend Maddy Magee described Jaydon as a "loving boy".
In a touching tribute to Jaydon, she said: "What a cruel world we live in.
"I am absolutely heartbroken, waking up to see such a funny, loving young boy you grew up with is just gone like that.
"Thoughts go out to your family. We are all lucky to have known you.
"You will never be forgotten and we will never stop speaking your name. Fly high Jay."
Many tributes have been posted on social media.
One message on Facebook said: "RIP Jaydon Mcfarlane, sound lad with a good heart sad to hear he's gone."
Another read: "RIP Jaydon Mcfarlane. Terrible way to go. Feeling very sad. I knew you from when you were at Furley Park. You always had a good heart and kind. Will miss you.
"My deepest condolences go to you and your family. Heartbroken. Good friend of Nikola."
Friend Nikola Da Silva wrote: "Rest in peace Jaydon, thanks for always being such a good friend, will never forget your smile.
"Will miss seeing you around town. My family and I send you out prayers and love."
The area around the site of the attack was taped off while investigations were carried out.
Police have since confirmed the victim was 19 and three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Gavin Moss said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who was walking, cycling or driving in the area of Brookfield Road, near Clockhouse shortly before or after 12.27pm.
"In particular, I would like to invite any motorists or cyclists who were in the area to contact us and submit their dashcam or video footage for detectives to review."
