Firefighters had to use breathing apparatus to put out a blaze in a house.
It happened when a tumble dryer caught fire at the terraced property at Daglish Close, New Romney.
Two fire engines were called out at 3.20pm on Monday and used a hose reel to put out the flames.
They then cleared smoke with a device called a positive pressure ventilation fan.
Crews were there for 25 minutes and there were no reports of injuries or evacuations.
