A TV star couple visited a Kent shopping centre to get makeovers from new AI ‘styling bots’.
Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott, known for Made in Chelsea and Love Island, went to Ashford’s Designer Outlet last month to find out if robots were capabale of creating a worthy outfit.
Radio presenter Sam fed the AI prompts to create Zara’s outfit including her size, signature style, favourite brands, and where she was planning to wear the outfit.
In return, documentary maker Zara asked both the AI platforms to inspire a summer holiday look for Sam.
The style bot then created moodboards for the pair to use as inspiration when hitting the shops.
The couple then tried on the outfit creations and were satisfied with the results.
Two days ago, Sam posted a video on social media of their time at the outlet.
“Amazing job, I would choose this myself,” Zara said after trying on her first outfit.
“The AI has done his job,” Sam said, although he did choose to remove the hat and sunglasses from the fit he tried.
“AI has made us both stylish,” Zara concluded.
Earlier this week YouTube star KSI was seen at the Outlet. The Sideman member enjoying a Nando’s after being followed around by excited fans.
Also at the shopping centre, one of their most requested brands opened its doors.
North Face welcomed customers on July 7. The centre’s deputy manager said customers have long called for the American firm to take on a unit at the Outlet.
