Two appear in court on attempted murder charge

Two men have appeared in court charged with attempted murder following an incident in which a teenager suffered multiple stab wounds.

Michael Shaun Swansborough, aged 19, from Bridge Street, Wye, and Trevor Moore, 21, from Western Gardens, Willesborough, were both remanded in custody by Folkestone magistrates on Wednesday charged with the attempted murder of Lloyd Dawson Smith, 18.

It follows an incident in the early hours of Saturday in Hythe Road, Ashford.

Mr Smith remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Moore was also charged with possessing an offensive weapon and stealing a black Nokia phone from Mr Smith.

Swansborough was also charged with possession of a bladed article, namely a knife.

They will appear again before Maidstone Crown Court on November 10 for a preliminary hearing
