The police are at the scene of a crash in a busy stretch of road this afternoon.

The incident happened just after 2pm on the A20, which goes through Charing, near Ashford.

An eyewitness said the smash, understood to be between three cars, has caused a fuel spillage.

The tweet said: "Accident at Charing cross roads.

"Police on scene, petrol on the road."
