He was treated at the William Harvey Hospital having suffered injuries to his face, legs and hand following the alleged ordeal on May 6 between 7.30am and 8.30am.

A police spokesman said: Kent Police is keen to speak to anyone with information about the incident.

“In particular, officers would like to speak to anyone who noticed a large group of motorcyclists in the area that morning.

“Motorists with dash cam footage from the area on 6 May could have important information that will help the investigation and are urged to get in touch.”

As the victim pulled into the site, he was surrounded by the bikes, police say.

It is alleged the group then launched an attack through the vehicle’s window, before pulling him out and punching and kicking him multiple times.

The van was also damaged.
