A leisure centre was forced to close one of its main attractions after a child vomited in a swimming pool.
Staff at The Stour Centre in Ashford closed the main pool yesterday evening after a child fell ill.
Other sections of the centre remained open throughout the day while the pool was out of use.
It is understood that the main pool is not available for public use from 9am to 12pm on Thursdays and it will be opening as usual from midday today.
A spokeswoman at Ashford Leisure Trust said: "There was an incident in the pool last night where a child was sick and therefore the pool had to be closed.
"We have a set procedure that we follow which would not involve the pool being emptied
"While the main pool has been closed we have opened up other pools to ensure there is a swimming pool available for use.
"The main pool isn't open from 9am to 12pm on a Thursdays for public use anyway, as this is when the pool is booked out for private hire.
"The leisure water and learner pool are available as per our programme so therefore there wont be any impacted public sessions.
"It will be reopening at midday today."
