Season pass holders for a multi-storey car park are asking for their money back after it closed for repairs.
The Edinburgh Road car park in Ashford is shut for three weeks while essential maintenance work to the ramp is carried out.
Ashford Borough Council has written to season pass holders advising them that they can park in two other council-run car parks, Dover Place and Station Road.
But people working on the opposite side of town say that is inconvenient and would prefer their money back so they can pay to use another town centre car park - like the NCP multi-storey next to the now-closed one in Edinburgh Road.
Viv Blakely and colleagues at estate agent Connells, based in the High Street, hold three-month season passes.
They have to go out on viewings several times a day and would lose time by walking to the suggested car parks, outside of the ring road.
She said: “The council should either give us our money back for the time that it’s closed or have a reciprocal arrangement with another car park in Ashford that we could use in the meantime that’s closer to where we work.”
The car park is closed until the ramp repairs are completed, which is expected to be around November 7.
It will then be partially open with the exception of the top deck (level 4) which is expected to re-open on the at the end of next month.
