Police seized this weapon during a security clampdown at one of Kent's busiest railway stations.
Officers have been carrying out regular checks at Ashford International using a knife arch.
On Thursday night a man was found to be carrying an knife with a six inch blade.
He is now in police custody.
A police spokesman said the arrest was made as part of an intelligence-led operation, adding: "If you carry knives in public - we will use all our tactics and skills against you."
Officers have been screening passengers arriving at and departing from Ashford International train station in the hunt for offensive weapons over recent days.
