A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a pensioner was stabbed.
The woman in her 70s was airlifted to hospital after the "disturbance" in Amage Road, in Wye, at around 12.40pm yesterday.
Emergency crews rushed to the address and the woman was flown to a London hospital with injuries "consistent with stab wounds".
She is still in hospital but is making steady progress and her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The suspect remains in police custody.
The road is still closed today while forensic teams carry out their investigation.
Two ambulance crews and a single responder vehicle were sent but the woman was taken to King's College Hospital by air ambulance.
A police spokesman said no other injuries were reported.
