Ashford: Pedestrian injured after being hit by car

A town centre road was closed after a woman was hit by a car.

A grey Mini struck a female pedestrian on the A2042 ring road opposite the Applegreen Service Station at 11.47am.

The woman was injured and treated by paramedics on the scene, and the road has since been reopened.
