Woman injured at Stour Centre, Ashford

A woman was injured at the Stour Centre in Ashford yesterday afternoon.

Paramedics responded to reports shortly before 3.40pm.

At least four ambulance vehicles, including an incident response unit, were seen at the scene.

A spokesman for Ashford Leisure Trust, which runs the Stour Centre, said: "We can confirm a woman fell and injured herself while visiting one of the physiotherapists that hire treatment rooms from us yesterday afternoon.

"The physiotherapist called an ambulance as a result of this fall.

"Our staff assisted the paramedics and the woman was subsequently taken to hospital."

The woman was assessed and treated by paramedics before being taken to the William Harvey Hospital.
