Both sides of the M20 at Folkestone were closed after a woman had to be talked off a bridge.

The woman had been seen on the Junction 12 bridge above the motorway at Cheriton at 8.35pm on Tuesday on the wrong side of the railings.

Police were called and spoke to her and she was taken safely to hospital.

Both sides of the M20 in the area were closed until 9.30pm with traffic diverted until then.
