A woman reportedly threatened to jump from a bridge over the M20 this evening.

All traffic was held while police talked to the woman, who was spotted on the railings of the footbridge along Canterbury Road, Ashford at around 5.30pm.

It happened between junction 9 for the Eureka Park and the junction 10 exit for Ashford South.

The incident is now said to have been resolved and traffic has been released.

Delays had cleared by 6pm.
