An Ashford man is celebrating after winning the final kmfm Thousand Pound Friday competition of the year.

Liam King was lucky to get the call after the first listener randomly selected didn't pick up their phone and it went to answerphone.

He won after texting in during the station's breakfast show with Garry and Laura.

Liam was at work when he got the call back and kmfm presenter Rob Wills made him go back into the office to announce the win before he could have the money.

He is planning to treat his girlfriend Caprice, mum, dad and rest of the family to a bumper Christmas.

kmfm has given away £15,000 via Thousand Pound Friday this year.

The competition will return in February, but with a twist.
