World Superbike star Leon Camier will soon discover when he can begin training again after a bout of glandular fever.
The factory Aprilia rider from Ashford was diagnosed with the illness ahead of the opening round of the World Superbike Championship at Australia’s Phillip Island last month.
Since the meeting, where the 24-year-old (pictured) battled to claim 13 points, he has undergone further tests and is expecting to hear the results this week.
A team of doctors in Monaco have been analysing blood samples to determine his health before he begins training again.
He is yet to undergo any activities to aid his recovery since finishing 13th and sixth in the two races at Phillip Island.
Camier (pictured) said: "I’ve had some of the results back and they have confirmed I did have glandular fever at some point.

"But we don’t know when and how I picked it up, whether it was before or at the race weekend.
"I won’t start training until I know the full results so we know how best to recover from it.
"I could start training this week or in a month’s time I just don’t know at the minute."
The World Championship continues in on March 27, when the series heads to Donington Park in Leicestershire for the European round.
