Two-goal Gary Lockyer helped to steer Ashford into the FA Trophy third qualifying round as they saw off Hartley Wintney on Saturday.
Striker Lockyer moved to 12 goals for the season, adding to his 47th-minute opening goal midway through the second period.
Sam Bartlett struck 10 minutes from time to give Hartley Wintney hope of a comeback at Homelands but Danny Kedwell’s Isthmian South East side held on for a 2-1 victory.
Herne Bay were 3-0 home winners against divisional rivals Three Bridges.
Kane Haysman gave them the dream start in the sixth minute at Winch’s Field and fellow midfielder Scott Heard doubled their tally on the stroke of half-time.
Ukrainian midfielder Artem Kuchkov then wrapped it up for Steve Lovell’s team with his second goal in three games before the hour mark as they got the better of former Bay midfielder Archie Burnett.
Striker Mitchell May bagged a brace for Sittingbourne, who beat visitors Kingstonian 4-1.
His first of the afternoon at Woodstock came on 33 minutes - three minutes after winger Troy Howard had drawn first blood - and he converted a penalty to make it 3-1 early in the second period.
Winger Henry Sinai added a fourth for the Brickies and, although they were denied a clean sheet as Joe Hicks netted for Kingstonian in the 73rd minute, Ryan Maxwell’s men will march on.
Ramsgate edged past Raynes Park Vale at Southwood.
Captain Joe Taylor’s 12th goal this campaign put them ahead and midfielder Lewis Gard - with his third goal of the season - doubled their tally before half-time.
Jay Leader put through his own net for the Rams after the restart and fellow defender Aaron Barnes was sent off for a second booking in the 75th minute, but Ben Smith’s side did just enough.
Sevenoaks were edged out 2-1 at home to Leatherhead.
Winger Jefferson Aibangbee put them ahead inside the first 20 minutes, only for defender Ryan Sawyer to be sent off before half-time as Andre Date converted the Tanners’ equaliser from the penalty spot.
Playing with a numerical disadvantage, Leatherhead got the all-important third goal of the tie against Marcel Nimani’s men in the 56th minute.
Margate’s unbeaten start to the season was ended by a 1-0 loss at Ascot United, Taylor Morgan getting the game’s only goal with 19 minutes to play.
