Barry Goodwin's best images from the PodPlus Kent Spring Marathon and Half Marathon

Lee Rogers finished way out in front to claim victory at the PodPlus Kent Spring Marathon on Sunday.

Rogers, of the 100 Marathon Club, timed 2hr46min37sec.

He was followed back by V45 male Simon Thornhill 3:07.10 - who was almost 20 minutes further back - while third went to John Taylor 3:08.04.

Fourth-placed Lukasz Sacharzewski, of Leigh-on-sea Striders, finished in 3:19.05 while Ashford and District’s Rik Holden was fifth with 3:23.05.

Club-mate Linda-Jean Delport was the first female back in seventh 3:29.46, behind Dover Road Runner’s Gary Barnes who was sixth in 3:26.03.

Barnes’ club-mate Emma Stockley timed 3:31.07 for ninth overall and was second female home, while Maria Hjorth was third female back in 13th overall 3:38.30.

The Half Marathon was won by Striders of Croydon runner Andrew Aitken 1:16.37, followed home by second-placed Lee Hardie 1:16.58 and Kent AC’s Angelo Pieris who was third with 1:19.26.

First female back Georgiana Robitu 1:43.49 came home in 21st overall.

The course used surrounding Ashford, Westwell and Charing.
