Paul Woolford made a piece of club history when he defeated team-mate Joshua Pounds in the final of the Kent County Bowling Association’s under-25 finals.

It was the first time in Ashford Town’s 99-year-old history that they had provided the county’s under-25 champion and only the second time that two players from the same club had contested the final.

Woolford is 23 while Pounds is 16 and attends Ashford’s Towers School.
