THE cream of Kent’s club athletes come to Ashford this weekend for the annual Kent championships at the Julie Rose Stadium.

Several internationals, both senior and junior, will be in action although the better known names tend not to do county championships because they often clash with contracted races.

Action is over the two days with finals on both Saturday and Sunday.

It is the second year in a row that Ashford will be hosting the event after the success and good atmosphere generated at the last championships and with the future of Crystal Palace still in the air.
