Sunday's ever-popular Ashford and District 10k road race celebrates its 20th anniversary by attracting a maximum 650 competitors well in advance of the February 4 closing date.
One of the most established and popular events of its kind in the county, all places were rapidly filled and no entries will be accepted on the day. The race starts at 11am.
"We take nothing for granted so we’re delighted, as ever, with the response," said results secretary Steve Hickman.
The event at Sandyaces, Sandyhurst Lane, Ashford, attracts all standards of runners to contest the popular rural course with fast times expected.
The home stretch is straight and largely downhill, so a fast finish is guaranteed.
The prize giving is scheduled for about an hour after the first runner arrives home, and all winners will be presented with a medal.
