LITTLESTONE’S Gerry Bray gave another fine display reaching the quarter finals of the EWGA Seniors Ladies Matchplay Championships at Stoneham GC in Southampton.
She only went down on the 18th hole to eventual champion Sue Dye.
Gerry had the best score on the first day with a 75, but after a 78 on the second day just lost out on countback from being the top qualifier.
In the first round of the matchplay rounds, on the very hilly course with large undulating greens, Gerry beat Bev Belchter 6 & 5.
Gerry was English Seniors matchplay champion two years ago and English Seniors strokeplay champion three years ago.
