Neil Cugley is excited by his striking options ahead of the new Ryman League, Division 1 South season.
Stuart King, who is set to line up against former club Maidstone in a pre-season friendly at Cheriton Road tonight (Thursday), looks certain to be first choice.
But the chance to partner him is up for grabs with teenager Johan ter Horst, Dane Luchford and Steve Harper competing for a shirt.
Invicta manager Cugley, who this week confirmed the signing of trialist keeper Rob French, said: “Kingy’s come back high and bubbly and has worked hard.
“Johan’s got a big future. He’s only 18 and can go right to the top, I really believe that.
“A higher level would suit him better because he’s such a clever player and for a young lad, he’s so good at dropping into little holes.
“We’ve also got Steve Harper and Dane Luchford to consider. They’re good players and it’s nice to have competition for a change."
Folkestone play old rivals Dover at home in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday.
