Ashford Rugby Club slumped to a 20-0 defeat at Dartfordians in Kent 1.
Following their superb performance against Old Gravesendians the previous week, Ashford fielded a team showing no less than eight player and positional changes.
However, they started the game reasonably well before conceding a penalty that Tony Mead converted.
An interception try by Dan Phillips, which was converted by Mead, gave Dartfordians a 10-0 interval lead.
From the restart Ashford again got some good momentum going and JJ Murray scored a superb solo effort, only for the referee to disallow the try and award the scrum ball to Dartfordians.
Ashford then struggled to find any consistent good ball after that and Dartfordians clinched the points with tries from Tom Hoey and Phillips, with his second.
Despite the final score there were encouraging performances from some of the Ashford youngsters.
Louis Stimpson showed good strength and determination in turning over several opposition balls, Chris Baker tackled well and James Fearne produced a strong performance.
