Lisa Dobriskey has qualified for Saturday's Olympic women's 1500m final in impressive style.
The 24-year Ashford AC member, who had to wait until day 11 to make her Olympic debut, came home third in the third and final semi-final after a strong finish down the home straight inside the Bird's Nest Stadium.
Dobriskey's time of 4minutes 03.22 seconds was a new personal best and brought her home behind Kenyan Nancy Jebet Langat (4.03.02) and Ukrainian Nataliya Tobias (4.03.19).
The trio were the three fastest qualifiers for Saturday's final but there will be no place for Dobriskey's GB team-mates Stephanie Twell (4.06.68), who was sixth in the first semi, or Susan Scott whose time of 4.14.66 was only good enough for fourth in her race.
Saturday's race starts at 12.50pm BST.
