Ashford Tri Club are to host another mountain bike duathlon in the picturesque Kings Wood in Challock.

Previous races proved popular so this additional event is being staged to meet demand.

The race, at 9am on Sunday, November 23, is being supported by the Independent Mortgage Centre and offers a slightly more challenging route than previous years plus lots of extras.

The race comprises a 3km trail run followed by a 14km mountain bike section and another 3km run. This year’s course is slightly longer than before and will certainly be challenging following the recent wet weather.

The race has almost reached its limit of 100 competitors but there are a few places left for individuals, or teams of two (one runs, one bikes). Entry forms and details at www.ashfordtriclub.co.uk
